Classic in every way, this Willow Creek District wine embodies the elegance and force of Cabernet Sauvignon. Big black fruit aromas rest on herbal and earthy notes and are polished by well integrated oak. The palate is incredibly balanced, with full, lush tannin and persistent berry flavors.
The 2014 Miracles Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark purple-red, opaque, with fresh-from-the-vine brightness. Generous, ripe aromas with tons of blackberry and just a hint of green peppercorn. Judiciously chosen French oak doesn't dominate but adds chocolate and baking spice nuances, as well as light vanilla notes. Extended aging brings an earthy, licorice-root character, with some dried blueberry that intensifies the fruit. Full and plush throughout the palate with exceptional balance - a marriage of bright fruit, velvety tannin, and plenty of body. The wine finishes with persistent grip and flavor, delicious now but softening over time. This wine is pouring wonderfully now, or lay it in your cellar to age ten years.
The 2014 Miracles Tempranillo Intensely dark red in color, with a hint of mahogany. Richly aromatic, with dried leaf, earth and bramble softly underlying the intense fruit - bold berry, ripe cherry, and dried plum. Palate texture comes from supple, well-developed tannin that perfectly balances the fruit. Extended aging in spicy, well-seasoned American Oak results in a totally complex wine, filling out the mid-palate and providing layers of interest, with a lingering yet finessed finish. This wine is pouring wonderfully now, or lay it in your cellar to age eight years.
A timeless blend of Garnacha, Syrah, and Mataro, this wine has an incredibly focused fruit nose, jumping right out of the glass with raspberry and plum aromas. Soft and silky on the palate, with red and black fruit flavors that linger on the finish.
Kick-Off was the very first wine that Randy & Cheryl created. After growing grapes for 25 years, they crushed their first barrel with their own feet, and Red Soles was born! This wine is always a customer favorite. Fresh crushed berries, delicate oak framework, and hints of coffee and spice on the finish. Perfect by the glass, or with your favorite meal.
This Mourvèdre carries its Spanish name, Mataro, and is likewise made in a style more Spanish than Californian. Distinctly and brightly fruity, the wine is accented with judiciously chosen oak and just a splash of Syrah to round out the palate.
Bright cherry flavors integrated with cola and vanilla notes, accentuated with cassis. Nicely balanced tannins. Shows a full expression of the Miracles Ranch's chalky soil terroir with its mineral overtones. Drink it now or hold for five to eight years - this wine will be a joy to have.
Tons of white pepper on the nose, with dark berry and turned earth on the nose. The inviting nose leads to a balanced mouth feel with a full and rich mid-palate of toasty oak and generous fruit. Firm tannin and natural acidity carry the wine to a lingering finish.
This Tempranillo is part of the Spanish block in our vineyard. These head-trained vines have been in the ground just over five years now, in the coldest part of our property. Dried cherries, fresh tobacco and warm spice lead to notes of rich, dark-roasted coffee beans. The American oak barrels used to age the wine have added to its long, tannic finish.
At first, a bright nose of red fruits and chaparral draws the audience in, and then the dust starts to fly. Wet stones on the palate, a structure hones in the vineyard over millennia...the length of the finish is remarkable and promises a long life in the cellar. This food friendly wine is a perfect match with flavorful paella, spicy Thai noodles, or a tasty charcuterie board.
